…Tna underscores the impact of road projects on mobility, commerce, and grassroots transformation

Road construction and rehabilitation efforts across the Oyo East Local Government Area of Oyo State have continued to gather momentum, drawing commendation from stakeholders and political leaders, including House of Representatives hopeful, Barrister Seun Ashamu.

Ashamu, in a statement made available to journalists on Sunday, described the ongoing infrastructure drive under Governor Seyi Makinde as a catalyst for socio-economic growth, noting that the scale of development has effectively repositioned Oyo East as a key construction and development hub within the state.

The statement, which referenced observations from an inspection tour conducted by the Supervisory Councillor for Works in Oyo East, Ibrahim Olojule, highlighted the rapid pace of road construction across strategic locations in the council area.

According to Ashamu, the widespread execution of road projects reflects a deliberate and people-oriented approach to governance, aimed at enhancing connectivity, easing transportation challenges, and stimulating local commerce.

He noted that critical routes such as the Balogun–Ile Aagba Road linking Alalubosa, as well as the Apaara–Ile Bara–Oke Apo Junction corridor, are among the ongoing projects expected to significantly improve access and inter-community linkages upon completion.

Ashamu further acknowledged the role of the Oyo East Local Government administration under the leadership of Hon. Oluokun Olusola Peter, commending its alignment with the state government’s broader infrastructure agenda.

“The ongoing projects across Oyo East are clear indicators of a government that understands the direct relationship between infrastructure and economic prosperity. These efforts are not only improving road networks but also enhancing the quality of life for our people,” Ashamu stated.

The Reps aspirant also lauded Governor Makinde’s leadership style, describing it as visionary and inclusive, with a strong focus on sustainable development and grassroots impact.

He emphasized that sustained investment in infrastructure remains critical to unlocking the economic potential of Oyo communities, pledging his support for policies and initiatives that will consolidate the gains recorded so far.

Ashamu added that the ongoing projects represent a significant step toward building a more connected, prosperous, and livable Oyo East, reaffirming his commitment to advancing development-focused representation at the federal level.
