A vibrant, energetic, and a voice for the voiceless, Abiola Oladotun Aseyori, has applauded the leadership style of Governor Seyi Makinde, describing it as instrumental to the party’s growing unity and stability across the state.

In a statement released to newsmen on Saturday, Aseyori said the emergence of consensus candidates across key constituencies reflects a deliberate effort to strengthen internal cohesion and position the party for electoral success.

He specifically commended the governor for fostering an inclusive political structure that encourages dialogue, consensus-building, and collective progress.

Aseyori also congratulated Barrister Ṣeun Ashamu, former Commissioner for Environment and Energy, and Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, on his emergence as the PDP consensus candidate for the House of Representatives seat representing Oyo Federal Constituency, comprising Afijio, Atiba, Oyo East, and Oyo West local governments.

He described Ashamu’s track record in public service as a testament to his preparedness for effective representation at the national level.

Similarly, he lauded the Chief Whip of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Gbenga Oyekola, for earning renewed confidence as a consensus candidate, noting that his legislative experience and grassroots connection remain invaluable assets to the constituency.

Aseyori extended his congratulations to Hon. Oluwaseun Oyewo, who emerged as the consensus candidate for Afijio State Constituency, praising his commitment to community development and sustained engagement with constituents.

He also hailed Hon. Olorunpoto Cephas Rahman, the consensus candidate for Oyo East and Oyo West State Constituencies, for his dedication to people-oriented leadership and consistent advocacy for grassroots development.

According to Aseyori, the consensus arrangements underscore a shared vision within the PDP to prioritize competence, unity, and service delivery over internal divisions.

He expressed optimism that the party’s flagbearers would build on the existing momentum to deliver impactful representation, adding that the development signals a brighter political future for Oyo Town and the state at large.

Aseyori reaffirmed his support for the PDP candidates and urged stakeholders and residents to remain committed to sustaining the current trajectory of growth and good governance in Oyo State.
