‎The Prince Oladeji Group also known as POG appreciates HE Governor Oluwaseyi Makinde over the nomination of Honorable Oladeji Oparinde, the lawmaker representing Afijio State Constituents as the next Executive Chairman of AFIJIO Local Government Area.

‎

‎Speaking after the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders’ meeting held on Monday, the chairman of the group described the gesture as a rare privilege and a renewed call to service.
‎
‎He thanked the governor and party leaders for the confidence reposed in Prince Oladeji Oparinde, pledging to make sure the opportunity is not taken for granted.
‎
Speaking with Hon. Oladeji ‎Oparinde he noted that the endorsement was not merely a political gesture but a responsibility to deepen development at the grassroots.
‎
‎He assured the people of Afijio that he remains committed to improving their welfare and delivering impactful governance.
‎
T‎he POG group went on to highlight some of the key achievements of Hon. Prince Oladeji Oparinde in office, including the installation of 30 solar streetlights (phase 1) across communities and the provision of National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) coverage for 50 elderly residents in Fiditi and Ilora.
‎
T‎hey also cited infrastructure interventions such as the grading of farm roads and community roads in Ilora and Jobele, alongside the repair and tarring of potholes in strategic areas including Ilora Grammar School, the Baynikol bridge exit, farm settlement roads, and the Dangote axis.
‎
‎In the area of empowerment, Oparinde has helped to facilitate employment opportunities for constituents into the Oyo State local government service, TESCOM, Amotekun Corps, the Ministry of Health, Nigerian POLICE FORCE and the Nigerian Immigration Service.
‎
The group also reminded us his support for over 300 students with JAMB forms of which some of these students are in their final years of study and the provision of internet services to public schools in Afijio.

For his support for humanity he has always shown deep concern for the needy, widows, paid school fees and medical bills of numerous people.
