Hon. Saheed Abimbola Oladimeji, popularly known as Owonifaari, will host his annual Ramadan Lecture in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Saturday.


The event, scheduled for March 7, 2026, is themed “The Perspective of Greatness in Unity and Love.” It will take place at the historic Mapo Hall, beginning at 1:00 pm.
The Guest Lecturer for the programme is Sheikh Yunus Teliat Olushina Ayilara II, PhD, the Grand Chief Imam of Ogbomoso land, who is expected to deliver an Islamic discourse focusing on the significance of unity, love, and peaceful coexistence in society.

The event will feature prominent political leaders, scholars, and dignitaries from across Oyo State and beyond.



Ambassador Taofeek Oladeji Arapaja, the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), will serve as Father of the Day.
Other dignitaries expected at the lecture include Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, PDP Vice Chairman in Oyo State; Hon. Dare Adeleke, PDP Leader; Hon. Emmanuel Alawode, Chairman of Ibadan South-East Local Government; Hon. Ademola Ige, Chairman of the Local Government Pension Board; and Prof. Dahud Sangodoyin, Oyo State Commissioner for Energy.

Also expected is the member representing Ibadan North-East/Ibadan South-East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin, alongside several other notable personalities.
The annual Ramadan lecture, organised by Hon. Owonifaari, traditionally brings together Islamic scholars, political leaders, and members of the public for spiritual reflection, guidance, and discussions aimed at promoting harmony and moral values during the holy month of Ramadan.
