The Omituntun Benedict Foundation (OBF), founded by Oloye Benedict Akika JP has urged Nigerians to extend love, compassion, and generosity to one another as Christians and Muslims observe Lent 2026 and Ramadan 1447AH.

In a goodwill message by the foundation secretary, marking the sacred seasons, which described Lent and Ramadan as periods of deep reflection, sacrifice, and renewed commitment to faith and humanity. OBF noted that both observances share common values of prayer, fasting, charity, and service to the less privileged.

They encouraged residents of Oyo State and Nigerians at large to use the spiritual atmosphere of the season to promote peace, unity, and kindness in their communities.

“As we journey through Lent and Ramadan, let us extend love beyond words by supporting one another, uplifting the vulnerable, and strengthening the bonds that unite us as a people,” the statement read.

OBF also offered prayers for Governor Seyi Makinde, asking God to grant him wisdom, strength, and divine guidance in the continued governance of Oyo State.

They further prayed for peace and sustained development in Oyo State and Nigeria, expressing hope that the spiritual exercises of the season would usher in renewed hope and economic stability.

Special prayers were also extended to members of OBF and their families, with seeking divine protection, prosperity, and good health for all supporters and partners.

The OBF reaffirmed its commitment to humanitarian service and community development, pledging to continue its charitable interventions in line with the values of love and sacrifice that define both Lent and Ramadan.
