A devastating fire engulfed Harulite Global Resources Nigeria Limited, a plastic and other kitchen utensils factory in the Saki area of Oyo State, leaving extensive damage to property and disrupting operations in the area.


Heritage Echo gathered that the incident occurred on Sunday 28th, September, 2025 at the general hospital area, Saki.
The fire broke out in the early hours of the morning, rapidly spreading through the facility before emergency responders could contain it. The fire was a result of an electrical fault in the solar power system.

No casualty was recorded as the fire slightly affected the solar system and nearby plastics.




Special Adviser to the Governor on Fire Service Reform and Agency Chairman, Hon. Moroof Adebayo Akinwande confirmed the incident to our correspondence.
Akinwande said, the firefighters were able to save properties worth billions of naira.

According to him; “This agency received the distress call on Sunday 28th of September 2025 at exactly 12:50 hrs at Saki Fire Station through a running caller and Alhaji Rafiu to a factory on fire at the above address.
“Fire Officers led by PFS11 Kolade promptly mobilized and responded. Upon arrival at the scene of the incident, we discovered that the solar power system installed in the store was engulfed by fire, We quickly swung into action and curtailed the fire from spreading to other sections of the factory.
“No casualty was recorded, the fire slightly affected the solar system and nearby plastics. The Fire Service was able to save properties worth billions of naira.
The fire was a result of an electrical fault in the solar power system.
Akinwande, however, urged the public to be conscious of fire and emphasized the importance of allowing competent hands to handle any electrical appliance installation, to avoid any uncontrolled fire incidence.
He also enjoyed every household to have functioning fire extinguishers in order to prevent fire incidents and keep once building safe against imminent fire.
