Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State and 2027 governorship aspirant, Barr. Akeem Agbaje, has commiserated with Prof. Adeolu Akande, former Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), on the passing of his father, Pa Amos Adetunji Akande. Pa Akande, a revered patriarch and community leader, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the age of 90.
In his condolence message, Barr. Agbaje described the late Pa Akande as a devoted father and elder whose life was marked by discipline, faith, and service to humanity. He noted that Baba’s exemplary character and enduring values would remain a source of inspiration to his family and community.
“Baba lived an impactful life of integrity and service. His role as a father, mentor, and leader in his community will not be forgotten. Though he has departed this earthly space, his legacies remain indelible in the lives he touched and in the noble values he upheld.”
He prayed Almighty God to grant Pa Akande eternal rest and to give Prof. Adeolu Akande and the entire family the strength to celebrate his remarkable life with gratitude.
“May the Almighty God console the Akande family and grant Baba’s soul peaceful repose.”
