Tributes poured in across political and social circles on Sunday as former Deputy Leader of the House, Oyo East Local Government Legislative Council, Hon. Adeniyi Simiyu, marked his birthday.

It could be recalled that the celebrant is known for his grassroots leadership and unwavering commitment to public service.

Hon. Simiyu received accolades from colleagues, political leaders, Stakeholders, and constituents who praised his role in shaping the council’s legislative direction during his tenure.

In a statement released by the stakeholders, Simiyu was lauded as “a dedicated public servant whose leadership left an enduring legacy of progress, unity, and integrity.”

Many described him as a bridge-builder whose collaborative approach to governance strengthened community ties and encouraged youth involvement in local politics.

Celebratory messages also flooded social media, with community members and political allies sharing fond memories and commending Simiyu’s service.

“He led with vision and humility,” said one well-wisher.

“Oyo East continues to feel the positive ripple effects of his leadership.”

Although now out of office, Hon. Simiyu remains an influential voice in Oyo State politics and continues to mentor young leaders. His birthday celebration was marked modestly, with close friends, family, and supporters gathering to honor his contributions and legacy.

As the people of Oyo East celebrate one of their own, many say Hon. Adeniyi Simiyu’s life and service remain an example of purposeful leadership in local governance.
