Former Oyo State Deputy Governor, Engineer Rauf Aderemi Olaniyan, has expressed sympathy for victims of the recent rainstorm that wreaked havoc in Igboho, Oorelope Local Government Area.
In a statement personally signed and made available to journalists in Ibadan, Engineer Olaniyan condoled with affected families and business owners displaced by the disaster, which left many homeless and properties destroyed.
The former deputy governor appealed for support from well-meaning Nigerians, philanthropic organizations, and government agencies, urging both the Oyo State and Federal Governments to intervene.
Engineer Olaniyan also offered prayers for divine grace to help victims rebuild their lives and properties.
The rainstorm, which occurred on Tuesday, destroyed houses, school rooftops, shops, worship centers, crops, and electricity installations across the community.
