Lawmaker representing Ibadan South East/North East in the Federal House of Representatives, Rep. Abass Adigun (Agboworin), has reiterated his commitment to bring more dividends of democracy to the people of his constituency.
Kicking off the year 2025 with a strong commitment, the two term lawmaker noted that despite the current challenges the nation is faced with, he would work towards achieving more for his people and fulfilling outstanding promises.
Agboworin, who is the Chairman of House Committee on Narcotic Drugs, expressed gratitude to his constituents for re-electing him for a second term, attributing their trust to his track record of delivering on his promises during his first term.
He reassured them that he won’t fail to deliver on his commitments, emphasizing his dedication to their welfare and development of the people.
Agboworin gave the assurances in a statement signed by his Media Group and made available to journalists in Ibadan on Wednesday.
The statement read, “I want to thank the Almighty Allah who has spared our lives up till this moment. I believe it is by his Grace that we are alive to see the beginning of a New Year.
“I am deeply humbled by the trust my constituents have reposed in me in representing them. In view of this, I want to assure you that I will not take this trust for granted.
“I will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that our constituency receives the desired attention and development. I will fulfill all outstanding promises and even do more to improve the lives of our people.”
“With Almighty Allah on my side, I will not fail you but continue to work hard to ensure that our constituency remains a beacon of hope and development. I will engage with stakeholders, including community leaders, traditional rulers, and the private sector, to attract more investments and projects to our constituency.
“I did not disappoint you in my first term, which made you all to vote for me again for second term. And as we progress in the journey of this current tenure, I will not fail you as promised.
“I will continue to deliver on my promises for my people.”
With his proven track record and renewed commitment, Agboworin called on his constituents to be hopeful of a rewarding year 2025 which, according to him, would be filled with more developmental projects and empowerment initiatives.
