The executive chairman of the Ido local government area of Oyo state, Hon. Aderemi Adeojo has donated a truck of stone base material used as a palliative measure to improve the condition of the flooded community bridge in his council area.

The bridge, which was flooded after last Tuesday’s rainfall, links communities such as Pataki Idiya, ladunni, Adegbite, and Kajola Yoboloo in Ido local government.

According to Hon. Asekunlowo, elected counselor representing the area, he said the council chairman provided the stone base materials as a palliative measure on the bridge for immediate relief to residents while more extensive plans for permanent repair on the bridge will be put in place by the local government soon.

Speaking on behalf of the residents, Balogun Idiya Saula acknowledged the quick intervention of the council chairman, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, and said the palliative will go a long way in reducing the uneasy access to the road by the residents.

” We thank our council chairman, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, for giving a palliative on the access road; it will surely ease our movement.

” We still want him to provide a lasting measure for us on the road because most of the communities are key factors in the economic activities of the local government,” Balogun said.
