Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem Bags Omoluabi Award

In a momentous ceremony, Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem, a distinguished figure in the community and a notable advocate for youth empowerment, has been honored with the prestigious Omoluabi Award by the Yoruba Council of Youth Worldwide (YCYW) in Oyo State.

This recognition is part of the newly launched Omoluabi 3.0 initiative, aimed at promoting exemplary leadership and moral values among the youth.

The award presentation took place at a vibrant event held at the Ilaji Hotel & Sports Resort on Saturday October 19, where traditional heads, community leaders, youth representatives, and various stakeholders gathered to celebrate individuals who embody the Omoluabi spirit—characterized by integrity, hard work, and a commitment to societal development.

Dr. Kareem, known for his impactful contributions to education and youth mentorship, expressed his gratitude for the recognition. “This award is not just a personal achievement but a testament to the collective efforts of everyone working towards uplifting our communities,” he stated. “I dedicate this honor to all the young people who strive daily to make a difference.”

The Omoluabi 3.0 initiative, launched by the YCYW, seeks to inspire the next generation by highlighting the importance of ethical leadership, social responsibility and cultural impacts. The council emphasized that the program will include workshops, mentorship opportunities, and community service projects designed to equip youth with the skills necessary to navigate today’s challenges.

Dr Adewale Kolapo Kareem AKK was represented by Alhaji Wahabi Oseni, Aare Jagunmolu Adinni of Wabillahi Taofeek Worldwide.

The ceremony also featured performances by local artists and speeches from prominent figures in the community, underscoring the rich cultural heritage of the Yoruba people and the importance of nurturing future leaders.

As the Omoluabi 3.0 initiative unfolds, the Yoruba Council of Youth Worldwide aims to foster a new generation that is not only aware of their cultural roots but also equipped to drive positive change in society. Dr. Kareem’s accolade serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration for many young people across Oyo State and beyond.
