The political space in Oyo State was aglow with goodwill messages today as Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji, Allied People’s Movement, APM, candidate for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency in the 2027 elections, extended a professional and comprehensive birthday felicitation to the wife of the Governor, Engr. Tamunominini Olufunke Makinde, describing her as a mother of the state, a beacon of compassion, and a steadfast partner in the developmental journey of the administration since 2019.
In a detailed congratulatory statement personally signed by him, Engr. Adedeji praised the First Lady’s consistent support for her husband, Gover. Engr. Dr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde FNSE, her motherly role for children across Oyo State, and her wider contributions to women empowerment, social welfare, and community development.
Engr. Adedeji opened his message by noting that the birthday of Engr. Tamunominini Makinde is more than a personal celebration; it is a moment for Oyo people to reflect on the impact of purposeful leadership, grace, and service.
“Today, we celebrate not just a birthday, but a life that has become synonymous with compassion, motherly care, and unwavering support for good governance. Since 2019 till date, Her Excellency, Engr. Tamunominini Olufunke Makinde, has stood as a pillar of strength beside her husband, Governor Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde FNSE, while simultaneously writing her own story of impact through direct engagement with the people, especially children, women, and vulnerable groups,” he stated.
The APM federal constituency candidate devoted special attention to the First Lady’s motherly disposition, which he described as one of her most defining attributes since assuming office in 2019.
“Her Excellency has played a motherly role that goes beyond ceremonial duties. Through her support for children in Oyo State, she has demonstrated that true governance must care for the future by nurturing the young minds of today.
