The Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, has praised the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for upholding a credible and transparent internal democracy process during its recent primaries.

In a statement issued on Friday, Hon. Kamorudeen described the exercise as a model of party discipline and inclusiveness that strengthens the democratic fabric of the state. He extended warm congratulations to the party’s flagbearers who emerged victorious from the primaries.

The chairman particularly congratulated Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, the APM gubernatorial candidate, for his emergence, describing him as a capable and visionary leader poised to build on the current developmental strides in Oyo State. He also congratulated Hon. Akintunde Emmanuel, who emerged as the consensus candidate for Lagelu state constituency, alongside other successful aspirants including Hon. Toheeb Adegoke and several others at various local government areas and constituencies.

“APM has demonstrated a strong commitment to internal democracy, allowing the will of party members to prevail. I congratulate all our candidates, especially Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, Hon. Akintunde Emmanuel, Hon. Adegoke, and others who have earned the mandate of our great party through this transparent process,” Hon. Kamorudeen said.

He urged party faithful and residents of Lagelu to rally behind the candidates, emphasising unity and collective support ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The young and dynamic chairman, noted for his impactful leadership in Lagelu, reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with the APM structure to deliver good governance at the grassroots level.
