Oloye Benedict Akika JP, the founder of Omituntun Benedict Forum (OBF) has described Governor Seyi Makinde as a steadfast champion of democracy in Nigeria following the Supreme Court judgment on the People Democratic Party (PDP) leadership dispute.

In a statement, the OBF Founder, Oloye Benedict Akika JP, said Governor Makinde has consistently demonstrated commitment to democratic values, justice, and the protection of the will of the people. He noted that the Supreme Court ruling is a reaffirmation of constitutional order and a significant boost to Nigeria’s democratic institutions.

He described the judgment as a victory for democracy, stressing that it reinforces due process, strengthens political stability, and upholds the supremacy of the rule of law within party structures and the vagabonds who wants to destroy the great party are out now.

He further reiterated that Governor Makinde who is the originator of the “Omituntun” philosophy has always championed a people-driven ideology anchored on renewal, inclusiveness, and progressive governance. He said the vision continues to reflect in the administration’s approach to development and public service delivery in Oyo State.

Akika stated that Makinde’s leadership embodies the true essence of democracy, noting that his governance style is defined by transparency, fairness, and consistent prioritization of the welfare of citizens. He described him as a voice of the masses whose actions align with democratic principles.

He called on political stakeholders within the party and across Nigeria to respect the Supreme Court judgment and work collectively toward strengthening unity, peace, and democratic consolidation.

He concluded by reaffirming its support for Governor Makinde, describing him as a symbol of democratic excellence and a leading advocate of people-centered governance in Nigeria.
