The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has led stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state to adopt a consensus arrangement for the emergence of candidates across several elective positions ahead of the forthcoming elections.
The high-level stakeholdersโ meeting, held in Ibadan, resolved many candidacies through mutual agreement, while leaving a number of positions open for further consultations, with a final decision expected by Thursday.

In a major policy decision, stakeholders agreed that all first-term members of the Oyo State House of Assembly will be granted automatic tickets to seek re-election under the PDP platform.

Governor Makinde also directed that deliberations on the remaining 11 State House of Assembly seats be concluded by Thursday, effectively adjourning final decisions on those constituencies.
