A prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Busari Olukunle Moruf, popularly known as “Goodugoodu ” has announced his resignation from the party, citing unresolved and escalating internal conflicts at the national level.

In a statement released and made available to Heritage Echo on Tuesday, Olukunle attributed his decision to what he described as a protracted crisis within the party’s national leadership, noting that the situation appears increasingly irreconcilable.

According to him, the persistent divisions and lack of cohesion within the PDP have made it difficult for committed members to effectively pursue their political goals under the party’s platform.

He stated that his resignation was a necessary step to enable him to explore alternative political avenues in line with his aspirations, stressing that the current state of affairs within the party does not offer a conducive environment for growth or meaningful participation.

Olukunle, however, did not immediately disclose his next political move or the platform he intends to align with, leaving observers to speculate about his future direction to either the African Democratic Congress (ADC), the Accord Party, or the APC.

His exit adds to the growing list of defections and resignations that have continued to shape the internal dynamics of the PDP in recent times.
