The Lateef Ridwan Foundation has commenced the second phase of its Ramadan palliative programme, extending humanitarian support to vulnerable families in a renewed effort to ease economic hardship during the holy month.

The initiative, which is part of the foundation’s annual Ramadan outreach, is designed to provide relief materials to underserved households, reinforcing the values of compassion, charity, and communal support that define the sacred period.

Speaking during the distribution exercise, representatives of the foundation emphasized that the programme reflects a sustained commitment to uplifting the less privileged and ensuring that no family is left behind during Ramadan.

They noted that the second phase became necessary following the impact recorded in the initial rollout, which reached a significant number of beneficiaries across targeted communities.

According to the foundation, the palliative packages include essential food items aimed at supporting fasting families and reducing the burden of daily sustenance throughout the month.

Beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the timely intervention, describing the support as a source of relief amid prevailing economic challenges.

The foundation reiterated that its mission goes beyond seasonal interventions, stressing a broader vision of community development, social welfare, and inclusive support systems.

Observers at the event highlighted the importance of private and community-driven initiatives in complementing government efforts to address poverty and social inequality.

The organisers also used the occasion to call on well-meaning individuals and organizations to emulate such gestures, particularly during periods that emphasize giving and reflection.

In a message of goodwill, the foundation offered prayers for all beneficiaries, asking Almighty Allah to accept their fasts, prayers, and sacrifices.

They further prayed for peace, unity, and increased compassion within communities, urging citizens to uphold the spirit of generosity that Ramadan embodies.

The Ramadan palliative programme is sponsored by Lateef Ridwan Opeyemi, popularly known as LATRAD, whose philanthropic efforts continue to impact lives and promote social solidarity.
