The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has extolled Governor Seyi Makinde as a leader of courage and conviction who consistently stands by the truth and has deliberately steered the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to greater heights in Oyo State.
Hon. Olufade, while reflecting on the recent strides recorded by the PDP under Governor Makinde’s leadership, described the Governor as a pathfinder whose clarity of purpose and sincerity of leadership have strengthened the party and deepened public trust.
According to him, Governor Makinde’s approach to governance and party leadership is anchored on truth, fairness, and principle, qualities he said have helped reposition the PDP as a formidable, disciplined, and people-centred political institution.
“Governor Seyi Makinde has shown that leadership is not about convenience, but about courage—standing by what is right at all times.
His commitment to truth and internal democracy has given the PDP renewed strength and direction,” Olufade stated.
The Ibadan North Council Chairman commended the Governor for his relentless efforts in building a united and functional party structure, noting that the PDP’s current stability and growth did not happen by chance, but through intentional leadership and consistent sacrifice.
He added that Governor Makinde’s investment in party cohesion and institutional development has inspired confidence across all levels of the party, from the grassroots to the state leadership.
“For us in Ibadan North and across Oyo State, Governor Makinde has set the pace.
He leads with clarity, and we follow with loyalty and discipline. His vision for the PDP is clear, and as party members, it is our duty to align, support, and move forward together,” Olufade affirmed.
Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade further expressed appreciation to the Governor for carrying party members along and ensuring that the PDP remains a platform for fairness, opportunity, and progressive governance.
He reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the PDP and pledged his continued support for Governor Makinde’s leadership, stressing that the party is firmly positioned for sustained growth and greater electoral success.
