The Chief of Staff to the Chairman of Oyo West Local Government, Hon. Adewara Ademuyiwa, has extended warm congratulations to the newly sworn-in Chairman of the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC), Com. Adeniyi Afeez Babatunde, describing his appointment as well-deserved and timely.
In a congratulatory message made available to newsmen, Adewara lauded Hon. Afeez’s track record of integrity, administrative competence, and commitment to democratic values, expressing confidence that his leadership will further strengthen electoral processes at the grassroots level in Oyo State.
According to him, the swearing-in of the OYSIEC Chairman marks a significant milestone in the state’s democratic journey, particularly as the commission plays a critical role in ensuring credible, transparent, and peaceful local government elections.
Adewara noted that Hon. Afeez’s wealth of experience in public service and his deep understanding of the electoral administration positions him to deliver reforms that will enhance public trust in the commission.
He urged the OYSIEC Chairman to remain steadfast, impartial, and guided by the rule of law in the discharge of his duties, while assuring him of the support and cooperation of stakeholders across local governments in the state.
