Otunba Seye Famojuro has charged the organizing committee of the maiden edition of the Battle of Mix and Mic competition to ensure the event is delivered with excellence, glamour, and global appeal.

The committee, which was inaugurated by the Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, Prince Falana Adebowale Adebayo, and chaired by Mr. Oluwatosin Odita, popularly known as King Zlo, paid a courtesy visit to Otunba Seye Famojuro to formally brief him on the preparations for the highly anticipated competition.

While receiving the team, Otunba Famojuro commended the pace and level of organization achieved so far and urged the committee to raise the bar beyond expectations. He specifically charged them to surpass the standard set during the recently held Davido ‘5ive Alive’ Concert in Ibadan, stressing that the Battle of Mix and Mic must be a landmark youth entertainment event.

He emphasized the importance of discovering raw talents among hypemen and disc jockeys who would not only dominate local stages but also gain invitations across Nigeria and beyond through their prowess on the turntable and microphone.

“Ibadan has always been a home of firsts in many areas. Let us make this another history that will project our youths to national and international relevance,” Otunba Famojuro stated.
In his response, the Committee Chairman, Mr. Oluwatosin Odita (King Zlo), appreciated Otunba Famojuro for his support and guidance, assuring him that the committee would discharge its responsibility with utmost sincerity, transparency, and professionalism.

He disclosed that foreign judges would be engaged for the competition to ensure credibility and fairness from the preliminary rounds to the grand finale, which is scheduled to be held at Agodi Gardens, Ibadan.

Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, Prince Falana Adebowale Adebayo, reiterated that the Battle of Mix and Mic is one of several youth-centered programs lined up to guarantee an engaging, productive, and entertaining December for young people and residents of Oyo State.
