Again, the Oyo State Fire Service has recovered a 38-year-old man from a deep well in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.


The declaration was made through the Agency Chairman, Hon. Moroof Adebayo Akinwande through a statement released on Friday.
According to him, a 38-year-old man was rescued from a deep well at No. 1/184A, Ile-Epo Compound, Beere, Ibadan.

He further reiterated that the victim had recovered and was handed over to a team of policemen from the Mopo Police Division.



Akinwande maintained that the emergency call was received by the fire service control room center at exactly 13:30 hours on Friday 5th December, 2025.

He said, the fire personnel led by CFS Adedeji (Mrs) swiftly responded and deployed to the scene of the incident.

“Upon arrival, it was a man of about 38 years of age, fell into a deep well.
“Our officers hurriedly tied all necessary rescue knots with the lines. The victim was recovered and handed over to a team of policemen from the Mopo Police Division.
Beere residents applauded the team of the state fire service for their swift response while lauding the state Governor, His Excellency Engr ‘Seyi Makinde for providing state-of-the-art equipment to the State fire service.
Equally, Akinwande strongly advised the public to prioritise mental health and seek help when in distress.
He also emphasized the importance of fire safety measures such as the installation of portable fire extinguishers in homes and public buildings. In order to prevent fire incidents when they start.
