The lawmaker representing Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency, Rep. Abass Adigun (Agboworin), has concluded plans to commence the construction of another road project, measuring 500metre, at the Adekile Goodwill, Olubadan High School, Orita-Aperin area of Ibadan South East local government.

The initiative is part of the lawmaker’s effort to enhance road infrastructure and ease vehicular movement and promoting community development across various parts of his constituency.
The two-term lawmaker, who inspected the proposed construction site to assess the feasibility of the project, was accompanied by some of his aides, community leaders, party leaders, party members and representatives of the contracting firm.

Speaking briefly at the site over the weekend, Agboworin reaffirmed his commitment to delivering projects that have direct and lasting impacts on the lives of the people.
He noted that the deplorable state of the road had, for long, posed serious challenge to residents, commuters, and business owners in the area, leading to difficulties in transportation, especially during the rainy season.

He maintained that the new project, once completed, will contribute to economic transformation of the constituency.
“This is another project coming up in this area and we have come to inspect it. It has been in a bad state for long and I feel it must not be further abandoned. That was why I facilitated the construction just like few other ones I have done in the past.

“This intervention is another demonstration of my commitment and resolve to make governance meaningful to the grassroots,” Agboworin said.
Similarly, Agboworin inspected another major project he facilitated — a modern police station under construction, which is located at Alafara-Atipe community, Ward 7 area of Ibadan North East local government area.

The station is strategically positioned in the location to address the issue of insecurity of lives and properties in the area when completed.

He was accompanied by the PDP Chairman, Ibadan North East LG, who led all local government excos including PDP Chairman of Ward 4, Alhaji Dauda Adesina Alausa and a host of other party faithfuls.
