Ibadan South West Ward Chairmen have officially endorsed the governorship ambition of Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK) ahead of the Oyo 2027 elections.
The endorsement was held on Tuesday, 28th October 2025.
They emphasized the need for unity among local government party members and strong support for their local government aspirant.
The Chairmen commended AKK for his consistent engagement with the diaspora and praised his efforts in representing Oyo State and the party positively across the Western world. They highlighted his dedication to Ibadan South West Local Government, appreciating his tangible support for members in need through initiatives such as assisting families, supporting education, facilitating healthcare outreach, and empowering youth programs. These, they noted, reflect AKK’s unwavering commitment to improving the lives of residents at the grassroots level.
AKK, in turn, expressed appreciation for the President’s efforts and initiatives during his recent visit to the United Kingdom — a gesture widely applauded by attendees as a demonstration of AKK’s respect for national leadership and commitment to party unity.
The AKK team also expressed gratitude to the Ward Chairmen for their continued support and reassured them of AKK’s return to Nigeria by December. They announced his plans to hold town hall meetings and consultations with party members across all five geopolitical zones and the 33 local government areas of Oyo State, reaffirming his dedication to inclusiveness and grassroots engagement.
The Chairmen prayed for AKK’s success in his governorship journey and encouraged continued unity among party members at the local government level to ensure a strong and coordinated effort toward Oyo 2027.
In attendance at the endorsement meeting were AKK’s Director of Special Duty, Hon. Sunday Ademoroti; AKK’s Oyo South Senatorial Leader, Hon. Hammed AbdulSalaam; former Ward 6 Ibadan South West Councillor Candidate, Hon. Aderemi Kazeem Onibudo; and many other prominent leaders from Ibadan South West.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from the Ward Chairmen to support AKK and work collaboratively to strengthen party unity and ensure the success of their local government aspirant in the upcoming elections.
