In show of appreciation and spirit of progressiveness in politics, the twenty two (22) Outgoing Local Government PDP Party Chairmen and Eleven(11) returnees converged at their meeting in Oyo town, Oyo East Local Government, last weekend to express their profound gratitude to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde for the opportunity given to them to serve their respective Local Governments meritoriously.
They attributed the successes of having National Assembly Lawmakers, State House of Assembly Members and Local Government Political Functionaries as a great achievement during their tenure and praised Governor Seyi Makinde for raising the bar of Governance from Poverty to Prosperity in Oyo State.
The Forum also appreciated the overwhelming cooperation from the State Leadership of the Party led by Hon Dayo Ogungbenro and Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke for creating an enabling environment for the Party to perform optimally under our watch.
In furtherance of their commitment to the growth and sustainability of the Party in their respective Local Governments, all members of the Forum reiterate their total support and cooperation for the party and future political ambition of our Performing Governor Seyi Makinde.
In a Press Statement, Released and Signed by Alhaji Lukman Adesina, Hon Sakiru Ojo & Chief Ojebiyi Johnson on behalf of all members, they appealed to Governor Seyi Makinde to yield to the Calls of Eminent Nigerians, Faithful Party Members, Religious Leaders, Citizens and countless groups who sees the Capacity, Capability, faithfulness, patriotism, experience and international acceptability of our dear Principal, Engr Seyi Makinde to Run for Presidency under the Platform of our Great Party, People’s Democratic Party; so as to rescue Nigeria from Economic and Security Collapse.
They also congratulated All the Newly Elected Party Chairmen that succeeded them, all State Exco Members of the just concluded Congresses. They assured them of the total support and cooperation for the growth and success of our Party across the thirty three(33) Local Governments of the State.
