Earlier today, the Political Head of Akinyele East LCDA, Hon. Ahmed Adekunle Kazeem (a.k.a Kangara), commissioned solar streetlights across various communities in the local council area.
Hon. Ahmed reiterated his administration’s commitment to the welfare of the people in every nook and cranny of the LCDA. While distributing the solar streetlights, he noted that the initiative covered communities across Wards 1 to 6, as well as key public areas such as the trailer park, abattoir, and local markets.
Speaking through the Information Officer, Mrs. Musbaudeen Sadia Tope, the council boss expressed his desire to do even more for the LCDA. However, he noted that the council is currently constrained by limited funds. Despite these challenges, he assured residents that the administration would continue to meet the needs of the people as resources permit.
The Head of Local Government Administration, Mrs. Sade Odekanmi, commended Hon. Ahmed Adekunle for his prompt response to the needs of the grassroots. She stated that the installation of streetlights would significantly reduce crime rates within the LCDA.
