The lawmaker representing Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency, Rep. Abass Adigun Agboworin, has commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his exceptional leadership and congratulated the newly elected executives of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State.

The lawmaker, in a statement by his Media Group in Ibadan, which was made available to journalists, expressed satisfaction with the successful conduct of the Oyo State PDP Congress, held at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex in Adamasingba, Ibadan.
According to Agboworin, Governor Makinde’s leadership role in stabilizing and unifying the party, and ensuring a peaceful congress is a very commendable effort.

He similarly congratulated the newly elected state chairman, Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro, and his deputy, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, as well as other elected executive members in the state.



He urged them to stay diligent and committed to duty as well as pilot the affairs of the party in the right direction it deserves.
The congress, which attracted several high-profile dignitaries, including the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Bayo Lawal, former Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido, and the PDP Deputy National Chairman (South), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, marked a significant milestone in the party’s internal electoral process.

Agboworin’s commendation of Governor Makinde’s leadership aligns with sentiments expressed by other prominent figures, who have described the governor’s role as “fatherly” in steering the party towards unity and progress.
He however urged the people of the state to continue to support the administration governor Makinde, and his aspirations towards occupying a bigger office in 2027.
