According to the information reaching Heritage Echo Newsroom, a four-bedroom flat residential building used as a tailoring factory has been razed by an inferno.

Our correspondence gathered that the incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday at Benjamin Alabama Junction, Eleyele, Ibadan.

However, no casualty was recorded as properties worth millions of naira were saved by the officers of the fire services.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Fire Service Reform/Agency Chairman, Hon. Moroof Adebayo Akinwande confirmed the incident on Saturday.

According to the statement released, the fire personnel led by ACFS Bamidele Samsudeen promptly mobilized to the scene when they were contacted.

“On getting to the scene of the incident, it was the ground floor of a storey residential building of a four-bedroom flat used as a tailoring factory on fire. Our officers swiftly swung into action, and the fire was completely curtailed and prevented from affecting the building.

“No casualty was recorded, and the building was protected against fire by the fire service. A fire prevention lecture was delivered to the public by the Officer in charge of the crew.

Hon. Akinwande urged the public to be conscious of fire and emphasized the importance of having extinguishers in their respective buildings in order to prevent fire incidents when they start.

He advised residents to report fire incidents to the agency on time, while also urging them to provide the correct address in cases of emergency
