Another Petroleum Tanker carrying 60,000 Litres of Petroleum Motor Spirit (PMS) has fallen in Ibadan.


Heritage Echo gathered that the incident occurred along the Ibadan/ Oyo Expressway, Tose, Moniya, Ibadan.
Our correspondence gathered that the tanker lost control and somersaulted into a nearby ditch and spilled its contents.

The trailer lost control on Friday around 11:00 am with registration number NGL11XA (Borno).



Special Adviser to the Governor on Fire Service Reform/Agency Chairman, Hon. Moroof Adebayo Akinwande confirmed the incident.
He said no life was lost in the incident.

Akinwande said, “The distressed call was reported at exactly 11:54hrs on Friday 19th September,2025, through a telephonic call, and Mr Salau to a truck accident at the above address.
“The fire personnel led by ACFS Adisa promptly responded and deployed to the scene of the incident. Upon arrival, it was a trailer tanker with regd.no NGL11XA (BORNO) of 60,000 litres capacity loaded with Petroleum Motor Spirit (PMS) somersaulted to a nearby ditch and contents gushing out profusely.
“The Firemen quickly swung into action by applying chemical foam compound to suppress the spillage concentration from attracting naked fire from near or far away.
“No casualty was recorded and normal vehicular movement has been restored to the road.
Akinwande, however, urged the road users to always drive with care and also emphasized the importance of observing road and fire safety tips.
