The CEO of AROSAD Properties and Consultancy Services and former Executive Chairman of Oyo East local government, Hon. Arowosaye Saheed Adeyemi, has extended heartfelt appreciation to Senator Monsurat Sunmonu for her outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to the success of the recently concluded Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ward and local congresses in Oyo Federal Constituency and Oyo State at large.
In a statement released, personally signed and made available to newsmen on Saturday, while describing her leadership as both “motherly and strategic,” Arowosaye noted that Senator Sunmonu played a pivotal role in ensuring the processes were transparent, peaceful, and inclusive.
He emphasized that her calm yet firm guidance was instrumental in fostering unity and order throughout the congresses, which are key steps in strengthening the party’s internal democracy.
“Senator Monsurat Sunmonu exemplified true leadership. Her approach combined wisdom, patience, and integrity, all of which contributed immensely to the peaceful conduct and overall success of the congresses,” Arowosaye stated.
AROSAD further lauded her for being a stabilizing force within the party, especially at a time when political tensions could easily derail democratic processes.
According to Arowosaye, the successful execution of the ward and local congresses under her guidance has renewed the confidence of party members and supporters in the PDP’s internal structures.
Senator Sunmonu, a respected figure in Oyo politics and former Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, has continued to champion inclusive politics and capacity-building within the PDP, particularly at the grassroots level.
The PDP ward and local congresses are critical components of the party’s democratic process, where Ward Chairmen and other executives, as well as local executives and delegates are elected, and foundational structures are reinforced.
However, the peaceful nature of the exercise in Oyo Federal Constituency has been widely commended by stakeholders and observers alike.
Arowosaye concluded by calling on other leaders within the party to emulate Senator Sunmonu’s exemplary style of leadership, which he described as “selfless, people-oriented, and result-driven.”
The erstwhile council Boss now urged all the newly elected party officials to see the position as a Clarion call in striving for the progress and unity of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo Federal Constituency and the state in particular.
“This position is given to you to galvanize all means in ensuring the party triumphs in the forthcoming general elections, look inwards to bring new members to the party, create more evangelism as well as inclusive party administration to further promote the good governance of His Excellency Engr ‘Seyi Makinde.” He concluded.
