Ido Local Government, in partnership with the Youth of Africa Work Initiative, has launched a groundbreaking skills acquisition training program for persons with disabilities.
The program, held on September 9, 2025, at the Ido Secretariat Hall, aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in today’s economy.
In collaboration with First City Monument Bank (FCMB), the program provides guidance on accessing grants and funding opportunities.
Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, Chairman of Ido Local Government, stated that this initiative is a step towards building a future where no one is left behind, reflecting the government’s commitment to ensuring equal participation for persons with disabilities in the community’s growth and development.
This empowerment program underscores the importance of inclusivity and equal opportunities for all, and is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of persons with disabilities in Ido LG.
