Another devastating fire has razed a residential building in Iseyin as properties worth millions of naira destroyed.


Heritage Echo gathered that the incident occurred on Monday 14th July, 2025 around Daramola stadium area, Iseyin township, Oyo State.
No casualty was recorded, as only one (01) room was slightly affected by fire and other seven (7) rooms were saved by firefighters.

Special Adviser to Governor on Fire Service Reform/Agency Chairman confirmed the incident to our correspondence.



He said, “The distressed call was received at exactly 11:03hrs ,on Monday 14th, July,2025 through telephone call and Mr Rauf Akeem to house on fire at the above stated address.

The firefighters led by ACFS Azeez promptly responded to the scene.

On arrival, we met fire inside the third room right of a private residential building of Eight (8) rooms. we swiftly engaged our appliance and restricted the fire from spreading to the other rooms.
However, only one (1) room was slightly affected by fire and the other seven (7) rooms were saved by firemen. No casualty was recorded.
The fire service was able to save properties worth millions of naira.
The fire incident was as a result of appliance plugged unattended to, while the Electricity Authority ( IBEDC) restored power.
