Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA), confirms that more than twenty people died in a flood that submerged about fifty houses in two communities, Tiffin maza and Anguwan hausawa in Mokwa local government area of the state.

In a statement released and gathered by Heritage Echo News, the Director General of the Agency Abdullahi Baba Arah stated that the flood was as a result of heavy down pour on Wednesday in the area.

He said three survivors a woman and her two children are recurrently receiving treatment at the Mokwa general hospital while rescue operations were still ongoing as at time of filing this report.

In the meantime, Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary Bologi Ibrahim, commensurate with the victim of the natural disaster.
