The executive chairman of Ido local government, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo
has advised Christians to embrace the virtues of love and peaceful co-existence that the Christmas season symbolizes.

Adeojo made the advice in his Christmas message signed and made available to journalists in Ibadan on Tuesday, December 24th.

He urged the Christians faithful, especially residents of Ido local government to seize the moment to reach out to others who were in distress at this period.

Adeojo said despite the national economic challenges and high cost of food items, state residents must continue to strive for progress

According to Adeojo “The season of Christmas exemplifies the virtues of love and peaceful co-existence.

“We must continue to extend our hands of love and benevolence, living as one family irrespective of our religion, ethnicity, or gender.

“The period of Christmas commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ, who is the symbol of Christianity and the harbinger of peace, love, and good tidings, we must also continue to respect each other’s right to live freely and peacefully.

“There is no better way to celebrate the season than by showing love and being our brother’s keeper.

“Let us cultivate the habit of giving to those who need our help at this time; it would go a long way to put smiles on their faces,” Adeojo concluded.
