Chieftain of All Progressive Congress in oyo state Barr Akeem Agbaje has described the death of the leader of All Progressives Congress in Ido Local Government Area, Alh Bashiru Babalola, as a great loss to the party in the State.
Barr Akeem Agbaje in a statement signed by his Media and Publicity Adviser, Prince Egunleti Benjamin said the late APC Chieftain was a committed and dedicated party member.
The Statement reads: ”The news of the death of the leader of our great party, the APC, in Ido local government, Alh Bashiru Babalola ( Great Babs) came as a rude shock. He was one of the committed leaders of our party who has contributed immensely to the party’s progress and development.
“His sudden departure is painful. He was a core party man whose penchant for peace and unity was always very admirable. Undoubtedly, we have lost one of our great mobilisers. He will be sorely missed.
Barr Akeem Agbaje lamented that the APC Chieftain left at a time when his political acumen and experience are needed, particularly as the electioneering activities commence soon.
“I sympathize with the immediate family of the deceased. Only God can comfort them and give them the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. Death is a respecter of nobody. The finality of death is a reality that is very hard to accept. We can only urge the family to take solace in the great work Babalola did while he was here with us.” The Guber hopeful added.
Barr Akeem Agbaje , who extended condolences to the APC members, and the entire Ido Local Government Area, prayed to God to grant the late Babalola eternal rest.
