In a bid to motivate and recognize hard work, the Political Head/Administrator of Oyo Southwest local council development areas of Oyo State, Alhaji Hon. Nureni Adesola Alade, has rewarded the outstanding staff of the council, Mrs. Jayeola Adeola Oluwakemi, for her dedication and commitment to duty.
The ceremony took place at the Oyo Southwest Local Council Development Secretariat, Ojongbodu, Oyo, witnessed by the acting Head of local government administration, Mr. Adeola Oduola, the acting Director of administration, and general services, Mr. Afolabi, all acting department directors, Staff, and several others.

While presenting the gift at the Monthly productive Staff meeting organized by the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), the council Boss applauded the outstanding worker, Mrs. Jayeola Adeola, from the environmental health departments, for her diligence, active performance, and diplomatic prowess in projecting the council.
According to him, council workers are the engine room for grassroots development; if the government must succeed in its commitment to improving the infrastructure and state of social welfare of the people, it must have the backing of a workforce that is ready to eschew civil service mentality and be service-driven.

He described the motivation, gifts, welfare, and other reinforcement rudiments as one of his ideologies to be a workers-friendly administrator in the Oyo Southwest local council development area.
Alade, however, said the council will no longer brook absenteeism and will continue to reward diligence, and hard work staff, saying that the only way a worker can show appreciation for all that has been done for him/her is to throw everything at the job that gives him his sustenance and provides him with positive reinforcement and motivation at appropriate time.
In his remarks, the acting HLGA, Mr. Adeola Oduola, commended the staff, NULGE, for their commitment to duties, stressing that workers under his Leadership would continue to renew their efforts in making the council a reference point in the delivery of the government’s programs and manifestoes at the grassroots in the state.
Also, the NULGE Chairman, Comrade Mathew Folorunso, said the workers’ monthly productive forum was organized to motivate all workers to continue to put in their best and reward hard work, adding that this is introduced to boost workers’ morale and enlist their commitment to the continued growth, success, and development of the council.
Equally, the recipient of the award, Mrs. Jayeola Adeola expressed her gratitude to Hon. Nureni Alade and promised to continue to work hard to achieve even greater success.
This gesture by Alhaji Nureni Alade is seen as a morale booster for the staff members and a testament to his commitment to recognizing and rewarding hard work.
