Ido Council Chair, Adeojo Hails Gov. Makinde For Recruitment Of Additional Primary, Secondary School Teacher

The executive chairman of Ido local government, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, has commended Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde for recruiting over 14,000 teachers in both Primary and Secondary Schools in the State.

Adeojo gave the commendation in his office in Ido on Wednesday while hosting some pressmen.

It will be recall that both the State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) and the Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) conducted the employment process for applicants while names of successful candidates were released for onward documentation.

The council chairman, who was elated with the step taken by the governor, promised to render immense support for the newly recruited teachers that will be posted to the Ido local government.

Adeojo added that his administration is also making frantic efforts to rekindle the education light of primary education in the local government.

” Continuous recruitment by Governor Seyi Makinde, especially in the education sector, is a testimony to the Governor’s love for youth and quality education; it is an effort to alleviate the problem of unemployment in the state as well as providing quality education for school pupils and teachers.

” Governor Makinde employed thousands of youth during his first four years as governor; again, he has begun from where he stopped with youth engagement and employment; his giant strides and developmental policies, particularly in education, need to be commended.

” We are fully ready to cooperate with and support all the newly recruited teachers that will be serving in Ido local government,” Adeojo said, saying that the local government has a long positive relationship with both secondary and primary school teachers in the local government.
