The Executive Chairman of Oyo West local government, Ojongbodu areas of Oyo State, Hon. Prince Akeem Salam Babatunde Olukitibi, has distributed Seven (07) units of Bajaj Boxers Motorcycles procured by his administration to security agencies in his bid to complement the fight against crime and criminality in the areas.
The Council Mayor handed over the banded new Motorcycles to the Police, NDLEA, Vigilante, NSCDC, and Immigration to beef up security surveillance during the October edition of the Peace and Security meeting held in his office today, at the local government headquarters, Ojongbodu, Oyo.
Speaking during the presentation of the Motorcycles, Hon. Prince Akeem Salam Babatunde Olukitibi acknowledged that the motorcycles will undoubtedly enhance the response time and effectiveness of the security personnel in maintaining law and order.
“This presentation is a symbol of our partnership and collaboration in ensuring the well-being of our communities; we align with the drive of His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde in giving security the perfect priorities,” Olukitibi assured.
He tasked both conventional and non-conventional security agencies to build on their good records in their various areas which made him procure the Bajaj Boxers Motorcycles for them.
While appreciating the Council Boss on behalf of the agencies, the NDLEA officer expressed gratitude for the gesture and promised that the Motorcycles would be used for the purpose intended.
In attendance at the official presentation to the security agencies were; High Chief Mikail Afonja(The Baba Iyaji of Oyo Kingdom), Alhaji Nureni Alade(The Vice Chairman of Oyo West), Rt.Hon.Atilola Olawale, Alhaji Fatai Okunlola Obabi, Alhaji Isiaka Adebayo, Alhaji Adeyanju Bashiru, Leader Atanda R.A, Hon.Ogunsola Wale, Chief Ogungbile, Pa Folarin, Leader Rasheed Olokun esin, Hon.K.Bello, Mr.Tunde Eweka.
Others are Oyo West HLGA, DAGS, Southwest LCDA acting HLGA, DDAGS, and other notable Dignitaries.
