Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, were on Sunday held to a goalless draw by Enyimba FC of Aba in a Matchday six encounter played at the Lekan Salami Stadium.

It was a day the Oluyole Warriors were undone by poor marksmanship, having dominated both halves of the game.

The coach Gbenga Ogunbote tutored lads were undoubtedly at their best, pushing hard on the visitors, who however escaped defeat owing to stout defending and the inability of the hosts to take their chances.

While goalkeeper Mustapha Lawal faced few threats from the visitors, the defence quartet of Desmond Ojietifian, Aghahowa Alex, Utin Ikouwem and skipper Gali Falke took control of the Enyimba’s forward, spearheaded by ex 3SC striker, Ifeanyi Ihemekwele.

Enyimbaa’s goalie, Ani Ozoemena and his defenders had a tough time curtailing the goal hungry Warriors, whose performance in the encounter was well applauded by their vociferous supporters and fans .

Enyimba players and officials, heaved a sight of relief as referee Edwin Chime Anyanwu brought proceedings to an end, celebrating the barren draw.

The draw leaves Shooting Stars with six points from six games and the Oluyole Warriors will next face Rivers United in a midweek cracker, slated for Thursday in Port Harcourt.
