It was an epoch-making event today at the Royal Council, as the Executive Chairman of Atiba local government, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem swore in the newly appointed Supervisors, Special Advisers to the council and assigned portfolios to them accordingly.
This follows the approval of their nominations by the State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy matters and their consequent swearing-in shortly after productive screening by the legislative arms of Atiba local government.
Speaking during the official swearing-in ceremony at the secretariat complex, Offa-meta, Oyo, the council Boss, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji congratulated the newly appointed political executives for scaling the hurdles to make
it this far.
The Council Mayor assured the new Executive Committee Members of a harmonious working relationship. While soliciting for synergy for the effective and smooth running of the Council.
He advised them to key into his restoration agenda in promoting good governance at the grassroots level. Wabkem used the medium to assign portfolios that cover key sectors including Education, Health, Works, Infrastructure, Agriculture Environment, Social Services, and others.
He however expressed confidence in the abilities of the newly appointed Supervisory Councilors and Special assistants to bring fresh ideas and initiatives that will positively impact the lives of the Royal Council residents.
In his remarks on behalf of all sworn-in supervisors and special assistants, Hon. Tijani Muideen Oyedele applauded the council Boss for his sincerity of purpose and used the opportunity to remind his colleagues of the onerous task ahead but assured the residents that with their cooperation, dedication to duties with the Chairman, noting that fortune will smile on sons and daughters of Atiba local government.
