The leadership of the Federation of Oyo State Students’ Union under the captainship of Sen. Ibrahim Ayinla ALARAPE extends festive wishes to her Muslim members.
In the large felicitation message, “Eid-Ul-Adha (Ileya), also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is one of the most significant celebrations in the Islamic faith which symbolizes the ultimate devotion and submission to God”.
Memorializing prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering obedience to Allah’s command when Prophet Ibrahim (ASW) faced the greatest test as Almighty Allah instructed him to sacrifice his beloved.
Despite the immense difficulty, he prepared to fulfill Allah’s wish. However, Allah was impressed by Ibrahim’s devotion and provided a lamb for sacrifice instead.
To our Muslim faiths, this is a great lesson for us all. There are rewards for obedience and all sacrifices we make no matter how little.
Let’s endeavor to emulate those who walked with Allah in absolute faith, submission,n and obedience in this season and beyond.
May Allah endow you and your family with His Rahamat, and Barakah, and reward you for your absolute obedience and Holy sacrifice.
