As Muslim faithful celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, the first lady of the Royal Council, Hon. Mrs. Oluwakemi Adetunji has felicitated with Muslims Ummah in Atiba local government.
In her Salah Message to residents, Mrs. Adetunji urged Muslims and Nigerians to use the Salah period, which she described as a golden opportunity to embrace one another in promoting long-lasting peace and unity in Atiba and Nigeria at large.
She said Muslims must continuously sustain discipline exhibited during the last Ramadan fast, to promote such qualities that would project Atiba local government as the most peaceful and friendly business environment in Nigeria.
The First lady further emphasized that the occasion should also be used to foster unity as exemplified by the sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim culminating in the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir.
She also called on residents to be law-abiding, adding that selflessness, love, and sacrifice are part of the guiding principles in the Eid-el-Kabir.
She used the occasion to assure residents that the restoration agenda administration would strive to implement necessary policies to improve the economy of the council.
She urged the women constituency to be patient adding that necessary arrangement is ongoing to ensure women empowerment, entrepreneurship and lots of vocational training aligned with UNESCO standards will be freely achieved by Atiba women’s wing in partnership with Her Excellency Engr Tamunominini Olufunke Makinde FNSE.
While appreciating Almighty Allah for this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, Mrs. Adetunji enjoined all Nigerians, irrespective of their religious and political affiliations to continue to live in peace, and harmony and to be their brothers’ keepers.
