Hon. Gbenga Joseph Oyekola, the Chief Whip of Oyo State House of Assembly representing Atiba State Constituency, has felicitated with his constituents and Nigerians on the commemoration of June 12, democracy day.
The lawmaker lauded the determination, and resilience of Atiba constituents and Nigerians in upholding the democratic values and principles.
The statement reads;
“Today, we celebrate our collective struggle for freedom and the triumph of democracy over authoritarianism. I salute the courage and perseverance of our people.”
The Chief Whip reaffirmed his commitment to representing the interests of his Constituents and working towards a more prosperous and inclusive society.
“Democracy is a collective effort and together, we can build a better future for ourselves and generations to come”. Oyekola said
He further mentioned, “Let us all work together to strengthen democracy and build a better world for all. Democracy is our greatest treasure. Let us celebrate this day and recommit ourselves to its ideals”.
