The Executive Chairman of Oyo West local government, Hon. Prince Akeem Salam Babatunde Olukitibi has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the good people of the council area for re-electing him for another three years.

Prince Olukitibi was declared the winner of the Saturday local government elections by the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC), having polled a total vote of 12,974 votes, to defeat his opponent from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement released and made available to Heritage Echo News on Monday, Olukitibi expressed appreciation to the electorates for their unalloyed and unwavering support in the just concluded council elections.

The statement reads;

“Dear Good people of Oyo West”,
” I want to use this precious opportunity to appreciate every one of you who voted for PDP in Oyo West. As you did in 2021, you have again decided to entrust in me the responsibility to lead Oyo West for another three years, while I accept the re-election with gratitude and the happiest mood”.
This is a vote of confidence in our stewardship record of achievement, we campaign hard for your votes because we do not take you for granted, this outstanding victory was achieved due to your strong standing by us.
You embrace our efforts to make life easier, and better by focusing on things that matter to ordinary people.
You have spoken well with your votes and you’ve spoken with a loud voice, it’s time to improve our efficiency in infrastructural development, while I assure you of genuine growth and development.
Hon. Prince Akeem Salam Babatunde Olukitibi further extends his appreciation to His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Distinguished Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, Party Leaders, Olukitibi-Alade Campaign Organization, and Teeming members for their unwavering support throughout the electoral journey. Their collective efforts have meaningfully contributed in no small way to the success of our campaign and electoral victory.
