Hon. Gbade Oshin was gratified to have been considered worthy of the award in recognition of his outstanding and excellent service to the federal, state, and local government in the country.

The Dean of the School of Secondary Education, Vocational and technical programme, Dr. F.A Alaka, stated that the theme; “Stemming the Tide of Oversea Emigration for Greener Pasture: Vocational and Technical Education to the Rescue” provides a veritable opportunity for all stakeholders to seek a better way against the quest for greener pasture, look inward for vocational and technical education to the rescue in advancing the course of the productive standard of living.

It is a known fact that technical education focuses more on the understanding and practical application of basic principles of science and mathematics.

The biennial conference was the desire to cultivate a cadre of technical professionals who are equipped with entrepreneurial skills, to give insights, and professional guidance on the essence of vocational and technical education as a way out to an overpopulated market of unemployed youths.
