It was an epoch-making event as local government elections draw nearer to re-elects the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in Oyo West, Hon. Prince Akeem Salam Babatunde Olukitibi, and his vice, Hon. Nureni Alade Adesola, amid fanfare.

The campaign train which began at Pakoyi-Idode, Ward 10, witnessed a large turnout of the party stakeholders, leaders, supporters, and residents who came out to demonstrate their readiness and solidarity for the party’s chairmanship candidate, Hon. Prince Akeem Salam Babatunde Olukitibi and his vice, Hon. Nureni Alade Adesola and the Councilorship candidate.

Addressing the residents, the Director-general of Olukitibi/Alade Continuity, Hon Wale Ogunsola expressed his pleasure over the numerous achievements of His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde in Oyo West stating that the incumbent chairman Hon. Prince Akeem Olukitibi outstanding performance at the grassroots were visible enough and key into the vision of the Governor in productive dividends of democracy.

He urged the residents to vote en-mass for the Chairmanship and councilorship candidate, Hon. Rasaq Omotoso Hamburger comes the 27th of this month and assured them of proper representation at the local level of governance.


Also Speaking on behalf of the PDP Party chairman in Oyo West, the Party Secretary Comrade Olayiwola appealed to the residents that the best way to show appreciation for Olukitibi/Alade Performance is to produce bloc votes across units and Ward in Pakoyi-Idode zone for PDP, noting that PDP is the only political party that is endowed with a very resounding manifesto with people’s-friendly policies.

He further reiterated that with no opposition in Oyo West local government, the PDP will record a landslide victory.

Leader Alhaji Isiaka Adebayo, Rt. Hon. Olawale Atilola and Hon. Princess Adeyemi Folasade Arewa admonished the people of Pakoyi-Idode to change for the better by using their PVC in favor of all PDP candidates in the next local government elections.


They emphasized that many positive developments would be located in Oyo West local government, assuring them of unlimited employment opportunities, empowerment, and other local development initiatives to eradicate poverty in the council area.

Also, the party flag was presented to Hon. Rasaq Omotoso as the Councillorship candidate for Ward 10 (Pakoyi/Idode) by Rt.Hon.Atilola Olawale.

Some of the residents in Pakoyi-Idode equally attested to the fact that Hon. Prince Akeem Salam Babatunde Olukitibi performed wonderfully well since he came on board and they were ready to show their appreciation by voting massively for him and other PDP candidates presented by the local government elections.

Similarly, Ward 10 party chairman, Alhaji Taiwo Akingbade, assured the stakeholders, leaders, and party faithful that PDP will record a landslide victory at the council poll. “We’ll ensure our party triumphs across units and Ward in the Pakoyi-Idode zone, we’re ready to achieve the feat, Our Councilorship candidate is up to the task and we’ll not let you down”. Akingbade stated.
The Ward Chairman for Pakoyi Idode appreciated the party leader and teeming members of the party for picking Hon.Omotoso Rasaq Hamburger as the Councillorship candidate for Pakoyi-Idode in Oyo West, Alh. Akingbade gave an assurance that he(Hamburger) would never fail the people of Pakoyi/Idode.

In his remarks, the PDP Chairmanship candidate who is seeking re-election bid, Hon. Prince Akeem Salam Olukitibi lauded the residents for their positive turnout to receive his campaign train, assuring them of unwavering commitment to grassroots development.

The frontline chairmanship candidate also hailed the newly elevated Baale of Idode Kingdom for their support towards the progress of the Oyo West Model Council in all ramifications. He promised to be a unifier, woo investors, and create a conducive business environment, infrastructural development, and improve the socio-economic activities of the Council.
Prince Olukitibi urged the residents to reject APC’s bad governance mantra and vote PDP en-mass come the 27th of this month to further witness sustainable development in Oyo West.
