The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmanship Candidate for the April 27th local government elections in the Royal Council, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem has felicitated with Muslims faithful on the completion of Ramadan and urged them to use the period of Eid el-fitr to promote peaceful Co-existence.
Wabkem, in a statement released and made available to Heritage Echo correspondence by his director of Digital communications urged the Muslims Ummah to deepen their relationship with Allah, and promote the life of sacrifice, charity, and love for one another.
The statement reads;
Dear Good people of the Royal Council,
The Muslim Ummah,
“On behalf of the Restoration team, my Vice Chairmanship, and all the ten Councilorship candidates, I felicitate with our Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr after the completion of the Ramadan fast, a major pillar of Islam”.
“The Holy Month of Ramadan is an opportunity for our Muslim brothers and sisters to deepen their relationship with Allah, and promote a life of sacrifice, charity, and love for one another.
It was a month of intense worship, absolute Piety, and love for one another. It’s a month of equality and unity.
“The period of the Eid celebration was a clarion call for Nigerians to imbibe the lessons of the season such as selfless service to God and humanity as well as a sincere commitment to righteous conduct in private and public life”. He said.
My incoming administration shall be committed to promoting peaceful co-existence in local government and the state, I urge all Muslims in the Royal Council to sustain these values even after the Holy month to build a prosperous and peaceful Atiba Local Government where everyone can actualize their dreams.
It is therefore incumbent upon all of us, irrespective of religious, ethnic, and political differences, to work assiduously toward ensuring the success of the Pacesetter project.
“Our Restoration agenda will leave no stone unturned, to further better the lives of the people of the Royal Council”. He assured.
