Oyo Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Honourable Wasilat Adegoke, has extended her heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed Acting Rector, Dr Taiwo Lasisi, of The Polytechnic Ibadan. In a statement released today, the Commissioner expressed her joy and optimism for the future of the institution under Dr Lasisi’s leadership.
Honourable Wasilat Adegoke who at a time was a student under the mentorship of Dr Lasisi commended the Oyo State Government for appointing a visionary and competent individual like Dr Taiwo Lasisi as the Acting Rector of The Polytechnic Ibadan. She highlighted Dr Lasisi’s vast experience in the field of education and his impressive track record of accomplishments.
The Commissioner emphasized the importance of strong leadership in educational institutions and the significant role they play in shaping the future of the youth. Honourable Wasilat Adegoke also acknowledged the value based impact of Governor Makinde by appointing an experienced Lecturer who rose from classroom lecturer to Dean Student Affairs and Director of APCU in the great Citadel of Technological Innovation. She noted the wealth of experience of Dr Lasisi will promote the school to international standard.
Furthermore, the Commissioner highlighted the importance of sports in youth development and encouraged Dr Lasisi to promote and support sports programs within the institution.
