Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, grabbed their first away victory of the season with a 1-0 win over Doma United FC of Gombe, yesterday.

A 44th minute goal by winger, Gideon Monday, ensured the Oluyole Warriors silenced the Savannah Tigers in front of their vociferous fans.

Fresh from their 3-0 win over Akwa United last Sunday, the coach Gbenga Ogunbote tutored lads gave nothing to chances in the matchday 25 fixture played at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe.

The Ibadan soccer lords fought hard to deny the hosts the equaliser in the second half, thwarting all their efforts to hold on to the first half lead.

The victory, brings to an end Shooting Stars’ search for an away win and also extends the team’s unbeaten run to five.

The victory helped in increasing the point haul of the Ibadan soccer lords to 37 points from 25 matches and importantly moved the team up to the seventh position on the log.

The Oluyole Warriors will on Sunday, host Remo Stars FC in a Matchday 26 encounter, with the Southwest derby holding at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex.
