Oyo South-East villagers and residents throng into wide jubilation as the local council administrator, Hon. Prince Bamise Alabi commenced grading of Itosi – Ogunroko – Abujakan – Olufayo – Bodija road Phase I, to ameliorate sufferings of farmers and create access to other communities.
Speaking at the Phase One (01) road grading flagged off, the council Boss stated that they opened up rural areas and linked up communities, as part of a wider effort at growing the economy of residents and the council at large.
Prince Bamise revealed that his administration is fully committed to making life meaningful for people of the local council area through the creation of a good road network.
This initiative follows the productive discussions held at monthly peace and security meetings with the Executive Chairman, Hon. Prince Arowosaye Saheed Adeyemi, where we collectively agreed on the importance of enhancing the infrastructure within our local government area to facilitate the ease of movement for agricultural products especially and, by extension, bolster our local economy.
He said; “the graded roads would link communities together in the council areas and will enhance infrastructural and socio-economic development and ease the transportation of agricultural produce to markets”.
“The major occupation of our people is farming, access road remains their great obstacles while my major concern as the council administrator is to ameliorate sufferings, and create better roads for ease movements. Phase one has commenced today, which cuts across Itosi – Ogunroko – Abujakan – Olufayo – Bodija road, another phase will be done simultaneously” he assured.
“We embarked on this grading weeks before the yuletide seasons utilizing the opportunity of the dry season, so that food will be sufficient”
He further asserted that”this is a further confirmation of the determination of the people’s Governor Engr Seyi Makinde to make life more meaningful for rural dwellers towards sustainable development agenda that cut across the nooks and crannies of pacesetter State.
We’ll continue to be a replica of good governance at the grassroots level, welfarism and the standard of living of the masses remain our great concern. He stated.
The community leaders Commended the council Boss for deeming it fit to embark on the grading exercise saying they’re happy that we are enjoying this from his masses-oriented governance.
